Ultra-Precise and Fast Laser Scanners for your Wenzel CMM

Laser Design’s 3D laser scanning probes are now fully integrated with Wenzel CMMs. Your Wenzel system can be quickly and easily retrofitted with the industry's leading laser probes that capture up to 75,000 points per second for all types of Inspection and Reverse Engineering applications! The Laser Design laser system is designed to mount precisely and the specialized scanning software provides full control of up to 6 axes of motion including the Renishaw PH10. Our laser retrofit option is plug-and-play, so the incredible speed and accuracy of non contact, 3D laser measurement can be added to Wenzel systems rapidly and inexpensively. This is a great option for Wenzel CMM owners who require additional speed for scanning parts especially those with complex shapes and/or free form surfaces!

  • The Wenzel CMM’s can output high density scan data of complex or simple part geometry to the system’s bundled software solutions for both Inspection / Verification and Reverse Engineering applications.
  • Inspections accomplished via 3D Laser Scanning are automated, accurate to 12 microns, easy to set up and can compare the scan of the part to the original CAD model along with any specific feature measurements needed.
  • Inspections or Reverse Engineering of a part into a CAD Model usually happens 10 times faster with high accuracy 3D laser scan data than with typical touch probe based coordinates being used in CAD. Laser Design’s SLP laser scanning probes operate to 75,000 coordinates per second scanning speed. (The most advanced touch probe scanning systems operate to a small fraction of that speed!)
  • The output from the system can be CAD Surface Models output via IGES or STEP formats or even Parametric Solids Models.
